/deals.json. It lists publicly
posted Australian gift-card deals, classified by discount mechanism and
rate, refreshed every couple of hours from the public
OzBargain gift-card
tag. Deals link back to the original post, never to the merchant.
Nothing here knows a user exists. This file is identical for every device that downloads it, and matching a deal to anybody's subscriptions happens on their phone. Subsidy has no account, no sign-in and no server holding user data — this feed is the only thing that moves between us and the app, and it only moves downwards.
Subsidy is a subscription tracker that works out when gift-card credit will run out and when a discounted card is worth buying. Its privacy policy says the same thing at more length: the app has no account and no server, and this file is the only thing that moves.
